Activity 1.1.1 A Sketchy Scene (Links to an external site.)

- Open your PLTW Biomed Laboratory Notebook document from your Google Drive. Be prepared for adding new entries in your laboratory journal whenever you see the icon . You should have the following entries filled out after completing the activity today:
- "Scene Sketch"
- "Evidence Log"
- Read Goals.
- Read all the information, and follow the instructions from steps 4-5.
- Go visit the Anna Garcia Crime Scene (Links to an external site.).
- Make a copy of the graphing template for the crime scene sketch here: Activity 1.1.1 - Crime Scene Sketch Template (Links to an external site.). Then, save the document to your Google Drive. *You may decide to use other drawing tools or draw the crime scene on paper if you wish.
- Read step 4 for directions on making your crime scene sketch. Use the template, your own drawings and images from internet searches to construct your crime scene. Construct your crime scene sketch as accurately as possible, checking all the measurements to make sure the sketch is to scale. Make sure to include:
- a key
- a legend
- the scale
- Insert your crime scene sketch in the appropriate place in your response sheet and in your laboratory journal in the entry "Scene Sketch." *If the crime scene sketch is done on paper, take a picture of it, upload the image, and then insert in the response sheet.
- Read step 5. Fill out the Evidence Log table like that one shown in the example in step 5 (also in the response sheet). Then, answer the questions associated with all the pieces of evidence in the response sheet.
- Open the Activity 1.1.1 - A Sketchy Scene (B) response sheet. Answer all questions, and submit before the due date and time.
- Complete the entries in your laboratory journal.
